Bill D'Andrea worked at Clemson University for 33 years as a football coach and as the Senior Associate Athletic Director. His administrative duties included oversight of the first stand alone academic support building in the nation and also the Executive Director of IPTAY. After retiring from Clemson, D’Andrea became the Athletic Director at Anderson University for 4 years improving facilities and establishing a competitive environment for the 16 sports. He is involved on various community Boards and continues to volunteer with the Clemson Football Program working primarily with the former letter winners. Bill is a graduate of Indiana State University where he majored in Criminology and received a Masters Degree in Counseling from East Carolina University. He is married to Katherine Lee Merchant who was the superintendent of Pickens County schools and continues to work part time for the college of Education at Clemson. They have a son, a daughter and two grandchildren .
