The Community Foundation of Greater Clemson works to address the needs of the Pickens and Oconee counties and the Pendleton community by building a long-term source of stable funds, as well as offering leadership and direction to those working to meet key challenges in our area.
The Community Foundation of Greater Clemson holds several key roles: nonprofit supporter and community leader. Working with trusted financial institutions, we invest individual contributions to create general and endowed funds that build equity for local projects and organizations. We deliver grants to local nonprofits annually and as needed to ensure stable growth. And finally, we offer leadership to our communities through training, matching needs with resources, and nonprofit management expertise.
As CFGC has grown from our humble roots as a project of Leadership Clemson in 2013, we have worked to identify the key challenges affecting our community and how best to address them. Our objective is to serve as a nimble partner to our community to help address critical needs as these develop and evolve. Our long-term focus helps ensure that your contributions will be available to help improve the quality of life for our residents now and into the future, no matter how these change over time.
As you consider how best to make an impact with your cash or stock donations, CFGC has the expertise to help your money do the most good. We currently run several interest funds to support organizations and causes in the area. We also work with donors to set up interest funds important to them. Whether you want to invest in literacy, in housing, in health initiatives, or you have a favorite nonprofit you want to endow through stock donations or legacy gifts, we have financial advisers and specialized funds ready to help you set up your legacy of support. Your funds will create a long-term source of funding to the causes and interests you hold dear.
CFGC manages general donations and interest funds to ensure long-term, stable growth. A portion of this growth is available each year as grants to nonprofit organizations serving the Greater Clemson community. We also bring together nonprofits and community leaders to find solutions for community challenges. Throughout the year, CFGC assists nonprofits by leading workshops in grant-writing, marketing, and other key skills that can be useful for smaller, local organizations. In sum, we offer financial and leadership support to organizations working to improve our community.
